This is the perfect opportunity to improve your birdwatching skills before the biggest wildlife survey of the year, the Big Garden Birdwatch. We'll start the morning with some time inside going over the basics, and then put what we've learnt into practice whilst we walk around the reserve.

Join the A48 at either junction 24 or 28 of the M4. Follow the A48 until you come to the Spytty Retail Park roundabout. Exit onto the A4810 Queensway Meadows. At the first roundabout take the third exit onto Meadows Road and follow the brown tourist signs to the reserve.

The Number 63 bus from Newport city centre goes to the visitor centre; it is a demand responsive service. Ring 01633 21120 to book a bus by 5pm on the day before you wish to travel.For booking details
