Natonal Eisteddfod

Natonal Eisteddfod

The National Eisteddfod is a celebration of the culture and language in Wales.

The National Eisteddfod is a celebration of the culture and language in Wales and the 2020 Eisteddfod will be held in Tregaron and is the first time the festival has come to Ceredigion since 1992, when the festival was held on the outskirts of Aberystwyth.

‘The Maes’ is the name of the Eisteddfod site. This is where the Pavilion, stands, buildings, food village and the stage are located. Simply, this is where the Eisteddfod is held.

The Maes naturally divides into a number of villages or sections, including the area around the Pavilion, the Food Village, Drama Village and the Literature Village. There are stands and stalls dotted around the Maes, with plenty of things to see and do throughout the week. The Eisteddfod 2020 Maes will be on the northern side of the town towards Aberystwyth.
