Details

These activities are suitable for 4 - 10 year olds. Adults must accompany children, and booking is advised; please contact Coed y Brenin Visitor Centre to book your place. We’ll be meeting at the Visitor Centre reception at 10.30am, and finishing at 12pm. We’ll mainly be outside, and may get a little muddy, so remember to bring waterproofs, warm layers and suitable footwear.

18 July - Mini Beast Safari. Come and hunt for creepy crawlies in the forest, and play some mini beast games!

25 July - Magical Woodlands. Come and play games in the magical woodlands! We'll also be making our own magical tree faces and fairies.

1 August - Survival Skills. Come and learn survival skills in the woods!

8 August - Animal Tracking. Come and learn all about the deer and different animals in Coed y Brenin, and how our Wildlife Ranger knows how to find them!

15 August - Archery & Bow making. Come and have a go at archery and make your own bow!

22 August - Building a bird cafe. Come and build a bird café to take home to feed the birds!

Coed y Brenin visitor centre The Visitor Centre has the following facilities: Toilets (including accessible toilets) Showers (in male, female and accessible rooms) Café (see above) Shop Information desk Picnic sites and BBQ There are a number of picnic tables around the main car parks within Coed y Brenin Forest Park plus many more on the waymarked walking trails. Some of the picnic tables have metal frames for holding disposable barbeques. There are also stone BBQ plinths in Glasdir and Ty'n y Groes picnic sites. Please ensure all fires are extinguished and tidied up after use.

Activity price: £3.00 per child.
Parking is £1 for one hour, £3 for three hours or £5 for all day.

Local public transport is available, however the nearest train station is Barmouth.

Cycle Network: NCN route 82, Lon Las (North) and Lon Las Cymru all pass through the centre.
