Come and see how many different species you can find at RSPB Ynys-hir! We would like to invite beginners and experts alike to join us in a race against time to identify as many species as possible. There will be several expert led sessions throughout the day for you to join in. Chris Packham Nature enthusiast will also be visiting in the afternoon as part of his UK Bio Blitz Tour.

By bicycle: (Sustrans cycle route) Route 8

By train: The nearest train station is Machynlleth. Proceed by bus or taxi to the reserve from there. If you are coming by bike, it is possible to get a train to Dyfi Junction and cycle the 2 miles to the reserve.

By bus: There is a regular bus service between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth that stops in Eglwys-fach.

By road: The reserve is situated between Machynlleth and Aberystwyth. Turn off the A487 in the village of Eglwys-fach and proceed for one mile to the car park.

The Reserve is 2 miles from Dovey Junction Railway Station & 6 from Machynlleth.

Parking: free

Accessible by Public Transport: 2 miles from Dovey Junction station
