Details

This is a lovely quiet picnic spot in sheltered woodland and an easily accessible lake rich in birdlife just 100 meters from the car park

Look out for the huge flocks of starlings in autumn, whilst a wide variety of wild birds spend the winter months at Llyn Parc Mawr. Lapwings, Curlews and Ducks come here in the spring to breed. If you are lucky you may even spot a Crossbill or Red Squirrel scurrying around in the trees!

There is a feeding station in the car park and you stand a good chance of seeing birds such as woodpeckers and jays along with the smaller birds such as chaffinch and tits.
