Holyhead port is conveniently located at the end (Junction 1) of the A55 expressway, with access to the A5 as well. The A55 runs along the North Wales coast and provides connections to England and the motorway network (M53/M56/M6).

Holyhead harbour railway station is located adjacent to Terminal 1 in the port. This provides fast services to North Wales, Manchester (~3 hrs) and London (~4 hrs).

Local public transport provides services to Holy Island and the Isle of Anglesey.
