Details

The aim of this workshop is to provide a supportive and fun experience where you will learn new, or revive previous, linocut printmaking skills . The resulting colourful prints can be used for pictures, cards, bookmarks and artists’ books or as a basis for further experimentation.

Information will be offered on how to prepare the lino, which tools to use, and how to roll out the ink, register, and print. You will receive lots of hands-on, personalised support as the class size is strictly limited to just six participants.

Lino, water based ink and papers will be provided. Please bring an apron and any Linocut tools you may have.

Taught by artist, author, skilled and inspiring teacher Drusilla Cole.

About Drusilla:

“I enjoy experimenting with Linocut, Collagraph and Etching techniques to create my artwork which I sell in various exhibitions and galleries. I also like teaching printmaking techniques to small groups of students in my studio in Bishops Castle or in local art centres.

I am a member of the Castle Artists, based in Bishops Castle; the Art Café at the Secret Hills Centre, Craven Arms, and the Printmakers at the Rodd, Presteigne and regularly exhibit with them all. I also show artwork at various UK galleries and via Bishops Castle Open Studios and H.Art events.
For over twenty five years, I taught Surface Design as a Senior Lecturer at The University of the Arts, London. To date, I have written four books on Surface Pattern Design."
