PJ Harvey, Ryan Adams and Future Islands to headline Green Man 2017.

We are beyond ecstatic to welcome PJ HARVEY to the Mountain Stage. The sheer thought of it is already giving us goosebumps! Having notched up two (!) Mercury Prizes, plus album-after-album of inscrutable beauty, Polly Jean Harvey is an icon of understated, emotive reveries. This is Polly’s only UK show of 2017!!

The iconic, incredible RYAN ADAMS has built a dreamy back-catalogue that few can match. Mastering moody, devilish journeys through alt-country music and Americana, we couldn't be more excited to finally welcome him to the Black Mountains.

Last but by no means least.. the phantasmagorical FUTURE ISLANDS bring their silky, sexy synth dappled grooves from the States to Wales for the first time ever. We’re psyched to welcome the Baltimore-based trio to kick-start the Friday night party with songs from their upcoming album.

But of course that isn’t it. Our two time Mercury nominated friend Michael Kiwanuka returns to GM for the third time to transfix with his panoramic, soul-stirring exaltations, from last year’s number one record, 'Love & Hate'. Plus, we welcome the magisterial melancholy of the legendary Lambchop, following 2016’s triumphant return with new album ‘Flotus’. Conor Oberst – the man behind the much-loved Bright Eyes – will be stirring up misty-eyed Black Mountain moments and Angel Olsen returns following a clean sweep of critical adulation for 2016’s ‘MY WOMAN’. We love Angel.

With a whole load more eye-catching propositions – like BBC 6 Music’s album of the year makers, jazz wizards BadBadNotGood, a DJ set from long time GM pal Jon Hopkins, the ever excellent Field Music, Julia Jacklin and much, much more to be added to the bill.
