Pembroke Dock Heritage CentreHeritage CentrePembroke Dock has an internationally significant heritage. This is celebrated under one roof in Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre, housed in the former Royal Dockyard Chapel, now an all-weather family attraction in the heart of Pembrokeshire.
Displays tell the story of the town from its origins as Wales' only Royal Dockyard where over 260 vessels were built, including five Royal Yachts. Later in the town's history, the Royal Air Force based squadrons of flying-boats in the natural harbour of the Cleddau Estuary and the town became the world's largest military flying boat station, playing a vital role in the Second World War Battle of the Atlantic. The town's remarkable history is recorded and preserved here for families to explore and discover.
The Heritage Centre has its own free car-park on site, and is fully wheelchair accessible. There is a Gift Shop and Coffee Shop on-site, with Free Wi-Fi throughout. There is a regular programme of activities, events and special exhibitions. Pembroke DockPembrokeshireUnited Kingdomhttp://www.showmewales.co.uk/?dms=3&venue=1110219
