Details
Wonderwool Wales is the largest wool and natural fibre festival in Wales, and one of the largest in the UK. It is held annually on the last weekend in April at the Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells, Powys.
The festival is the go-to diary date for fibre fans, craft-lovers and makers, the vibrant, annual wool and natural fibre showcase. With over 220 exhibitors showcasing hand dyed yarns, fleece, equipment for spinning, weaving, knitting, crochet, felting, dyeing & sewing, along with beautiful designer made finished products, it is the best destination for those interested in these crafts.
There will be plenty for visitors to see and do at the show, which was judged best event in Mid Wales at the inaugural Mid Wales Tourism Awards in 2019. Wonderwool Wales was also highly commended in the Best Loved Knitting Show or Event category in this year’s British Knitting & Crochet Awards.
Two stunning and unique exhibitions – a collection of knitted and crocheted maps of seven different places around the UK and a zany, hand crafted interpretation of Alice in Wonderwool – will feature in Hall 3 at the show. Both exhibitions, which were planned for this year’s event, will be raising money for Wales Air Ambulance.
There is also a great selection of street food and fine coffee & tea. The event is spacious and the buildings have easy access for wheelchairs & mobility scooters. Parking is free of charge and there are disabled parking facilities near to the halls.
Stock up on wool and natural fibre products from more than 220 high quality stalls, enjoy special exhibitions and learn skills from an expert.
