Directions
The Old Library is situated on the Hayes in Cardiff city centre. The main entrance is on Trinity Street, opposite Howells' department store.
Bus: the most convenient bus stops for the Old Library are in Westgate Street and Bute Terrace. The Central Bus station is about 10 minutes’ walk away.
Train: Cardiff Central is a five minute walk away, and Queen Street around 10 minutes’ walk.
Taxi: after 11am the closest place to be dropped off by taxi is on Wharton Street, 50 yards from the Museum entrance.
Park and Ride: The city centre Park & Ride service is also available, details here.
Access:
The nearest Blue Badge parking is the bottom of Charles Street (come through the St David’s Centre to Working Street) or Westgate Street.
The Old Library has a ramp and steps on the Working Street/Cardiff Visitor Centre entrance. Fully accessible toilets are available. If you have any other access needs please contact us and we will aim to help you.
