Saundersfoot Beach

Details

A large sandy beach with very shallow water, ideal for safe bathing.

Adjacent to the beach is the popular harbour which is home to a range of small commercial and leisure craft. The nearby shopping street runs parallel to the beach allowing several shops to have entrances off both the street and the beach.

There are several delightful walks from the beach, one of which leads to Wisemans Bridge through a cliff tunnel which forms part of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. Parking at the height of the summer season can sometimes be problematic, but the town and beach are well worth a visit.

Blue Flag and Seaside Award beach. Dog restrictions apply to the whole beach except the eastern end between May and end September. Parking available next to the beach and approx. 200m away - both with charges. Toilets and refreshments adjacent to slip to beach. Lifeguard service provided 10:00 - 18:00 17 June to 3 September 2017. All terrain beach wheelchair available for hire from the Tourist Information Centre.
