Maes-y-Mynydd, St. David's: The Lost Village

Fabled locally as a lost village, Maes-y-Mynydd has an attraction to visitors and local people alike. But finding the secret place can be a challenge. This walk guides you around St. David's Head, and visits this forgotten place.

This walk starts at Whitesands (car parking charges apply), passing the site of St. Patrick's Chapel and following the coast path to St. David's Head. The route then turns for Maes-y-Mynydd before a short road section brings you back to Whitesands.

This is a wonderful walk to uncover the past. It includes not only the lost village, but also the prehistoric settlements at St. David's Head. With fantastic views out to sea, this 6 mile walk is moderate to strenuous, and involves climbing the slopes of Carn Llidi.
