Barclodiad y Gawres "The Giantess's Apronful" is a type of monument known as a decorated Cruciform Passage Grave, and its location here in Anglesey makes it very unusual. Tombs of this type are usually only found in Ireland.

The burial chamber can be viewed externally throughout the year between 10am & 4pm. Closed 24, 25, 26 December and 1 January.

The burial chamber can be visited by appointment every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays between 12noon and 4pm from 1 April until 31 October. Visitors should call into the nearby Wayside Stores in Llanfaelog (01407 810153), one mile north of the chamber, and they will be accompanied to the chamber by a member of staff.
