BenllechTownBenllech is a small town on the Isle of Anglesey. The popularity of its beach makes Benllech - on the A5025, the main road around the north of Anglesey - one of the most visited places on the island. Benllech is a popular beach holiday destination; the beach shelves and has an abundance of clean yellow sand. The Anglesey Coastal Path passes through.
The name Benllech is perhaps a mutated form of penllech, literally "head slab", i.e. "capstone", or possibly meaning 'on slate', shortened from the Welsh term 'ar ben llech'.
Wales is operating country-wide restrictions and is currently at coronavirus alert level four, with strict measures in place to limit the spread of the virus. Please check on the Welsh Government website before visiting or travelling to Wales or within Wales.
