About

Situated below the Great Orme limestone headland, Llandudno West beach looks over Conwy Sands. The large expanse of shallow water here makes the beach an attractive spot for kitesurfing and extensive sands at low tide create good conditions for kite buggying.

The sea area offshore is designated under the Menai Strait and Conwy Special Area of Conservation, whilst the bathing water also lies in the Aber Afon Conwy Site of Special Scientific Interest.

The Great Orme, a Special Area of Conservation, is a magnet for walkers. It has an amazing variety of flora, is home to a herd of feral goats and offers spectacular views. Llandudno is accessible by bike using National Cycle Route 5.

Toilets, parking. Dog restrictions apply May - end September.
