Details

Llandudno North beach is located between the Great Orme and the Little Orme headlands. Llandudno is a busy, established seaside resort and the north beach is popular with families who enjoy swimming and paddling as well as traditional seaside activities such as boat trips and donkey rides. Strolling along the listed Victorian pier is another popular past time and a promenade runs behind the entire length of the beach, with good access for people with limited mobility.

The town has a large variety of shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and other services and a range of activities on offer. A town trail starting at the library takes visitors on a journey into the town's fascinating past and annual events include a Victorian Carnival. The sea area offshore is designated as the Menai Strait and Conwy Special Area of Conservation, whilst the bathing water also lies within the Aber Afon Conwy Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). The limestone headland of the Great Orme, a Special Area of Conservation, is a magnet for many walkers. It has an amazing variety of flora, is also home to a herd of feral goats and offers spectacular views.
