It is also popular for boating and you will find the Lifeboat Station and a convenient car park.At low tide both beaches are popular with walkers who come to take in the magnificent views of Cardigan Bay, the mountains of Snowdonia and Mid Wales.
The Lleyn Coastal Footpath, which runs through Criccieth, follows the coastline of the peninsular for over 90 miles. The beach is backed by a promenade which has good access for disabled people. There is excellent access to the beach by bike, using the National Cycle Route 8 which passes through Criccieth.
Blue Flag beach. Cafe and shop next to the beach and there is a good range of shops, cafes and pubs in the town set back from the the beach. Pay parking, toilets.
