Pwlhelli's main beach is a long sand and shingle curve, located south west of Pwllheli Harbour. It is popular for sailing, surfing, windsurfing and canoeing as well as with families enjoying traditional seaside activities. The beach is backed by a promenade and there is a play area and a skate park alongside. There is good access onto the beach for people with limited mobility.

Blue Flag & Seaside Award beach. Parking no charge. Refreshments, shop and toilets at one end of the promenade; good range of shops, cafes and other facilities are all within easy access in the town centre. Dog restrictions apply between April and end September.
