About

The beach has a very picturesque setting, with the backdrop of Snowdonia's mountains to the east. It is popular for bathing and a range of watersports. A promenade runs along the back of the beach and there is good access to the beach for people with limited mobility.

Shops and cafes are located nearby. The area is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and part of the land is managed by the RSPB as a Local Nature Reserve.

The Reserve is an ideal habitat for nesting lapwings and the site is managed to encourage their breeding. The area is also of interest to archaeologists and historians because of its Iron Age remains towards the south.

Shops, cafes and toilets are located nearby; parking. Dog restrictions apply April to end September.
