Morfa Mawddach railway station is on the Cambrian Coast Line from Machynlleth to Pwllheli and is located south-east of Barmouth, south of the Mawddach estuary. The postcode is LL39 1BQ. The station is unstaffed; buy tickets on the train. Live Departure screens, payphone. Car parking no charge for passengers - 20 spaces. Morfa Mawddach is a request stop; ask the conductor/indicate to the driver for the train to stop.
Morfa Mawddach was the junction with the Ruabon to Barmouth line that closed in the 1960s. The track bed from here to Dolgellau now forms the Mawddach Trail which starts at the station car park. You can also walk from the station along the railway bridge over the Mawddach estuary to Barmouth.

Departures for Machynlleth/arrivals from Pwllheli Monday to Saturday are at 06.49 (from Barmouth), 07.50, 08.56, 11.03, 12.59, 14.59, 17.00, 19.01 & 21.50. Sunday at 11.05, 12.54, 15.05, 17.00 & 18.59.
Departures for Pwllheli/arrivals from Machynlleth Monday to Saturday are at 05.53 (to Barmouth), 07.36, 09.49, 11.50, 13.45, 15.46, 17.49, 19.54 & 22.36. Sunday at 10.51, 13.44, 15.51, 17.49 & 19.44

Travelling south-west on the A493 from Dolgellau to Tywyn, the turning for the station will be on your right after passing through Arthog.
