Beach, free entry

Porthcawl’s quieter beach is popular with locals and surfers; it has a steep pebble bank down to the golden sand. The rocks at the top of the beach have a unique pink marbling effect - hence the name Pink Bay. This beach is a 15 minute walk from Rest Bay alongside the Royal Porthcawl Golf Club; it is a rural beach and as such has no toilets or other amenities. A monument to the crew of the Mumbles Lifeboat and the SS Santampa is visible at low tide on nearby Sker point.

Lifeguard service provided 10:00 - 18:00 weekends & Bank Holidays only 21 July to 2 September 2018; dogs are allowed.

Pink Bay is a 15 minute walk from Rest Bay. Leave the M4 at Junction 37 and follow signs for Porthcawl town centre. At a roundabout after 3 miles, take 3rd exit (right) onto Newton Nottage Rd, which soon becomes Fulmar Rd, following signs for Rest Bay & Nottage. Follow this for 0.75 mile; Fulmar Rd does a sharp left and becomes Mallard Way West. After 200m, turn sharp right and after about 500m, there's a car park by the Rest Bay lifeguard station.
