Services include trains to/from Holyhead Monday to Saturday during every hour during the day. Limited service Sunday mornings. Most of these trains originate from/continue to Cardiff or Birmingham International via Shrewsbury and Wrexham; the others are from/continue to Manchester Piccadilly or Crewe. Also services Monday to Saturday to/from Llandudno or Llandudno Junction nearly every hour; most of these trains originate from/continue to Manchester Piccadilly, Manchester Airport or Crewe. Also an hourly service to Crewe.

Virgin Trains operate daily services from/to London Euston via Crewe and from/to Holyhead, Bangor & Llandudno Junction. Virgin Trains also operate other services from/to Euston that terminate/start from Chester.

There are also services on the Mid-Cheshire Line from/to Manchester Piccadilly and Stockport via Northwich and a frequent service from/to Liverpool Central via Birkenhead.
