Shotton is split into two sections - Shotton High Level is above street level and serves the Borderlands Line between Wrexham and Bidston on the Wirral. Shotton Low Level serves the North Wales Coast Line from Chester to Holyhead. The stations are located off the B5129 Queensferry to Connah’s Quay road; the postcode is CH5 1BX.Ticket office open Monday to Friday 07.30 - 12.30, Saturday 08.45 - 13.45; located on the high level Bidston-bound platform. Ticket machine, Live Departure screens, payphone. Car parking no charge for passengers - 20 spaces; 10 cycle hoops, taxi office outside the station.

Travelling on the A494, take the B5129 signed for Queensferry and continue on this road signed for Connah’s Quay. Go under a railway bridge with sign for Shotton station, past the next right turn (no entry) and turn next right where signed for the station.
