The Old Farmhouse

About

Crachty is a family farm having been in the Rees family since 1909. The views are breathtaking and from a vantage point available exclusively to our guests, you may enjoy the sights of Llyn-y-Fan (Pen-y-Fan), the Towy Valley, Paxtons Tower, the castles of Dinefwr and Dryslwyn and also the great dome of the National Botanic Garden of Wales.

Brechfa Forest (20 minutes drive) is a popular venue for both walkers and cyclists, also Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains and the Pembrokeshire coast.

For the art enthusiasts there are many galleries to visit throughout Carmarthenshire. Numerous restaurants and pubs offer first class cooking.

The river Dulas runs through our farm and some great fun may be had searching for minnows and the like.

The flora is vast and there is wonderful bird watching, Red Kites, curlews, dippers, buzzards, ravens, peregrines, sparrow hawks, kingfishers, skylarks, herons and much more. There is a Red Kite feeding farm just 30 minutes drive away.

This 17th century farmhouse is warm, cosy and romantic and sleeps up to 5 people. There are three bedrooms, double, twin (semi-open to landing) and a single. A cot is also available.
