RSPB Cors Ddyga lies within one of the largest lowland wetlands in Wales. The lakes, ponds and ditches host more than 30 scarce wetland plantsand the reserve is a designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

Cors Caron National Nature Reserve is a vast area of wetland one of the two remaining large remnants of active raised bog in Wales. It is an important refuge for plants, insects, birds and mammals.

 

Situated in a commanding position in the Welsh Marches, the castle's austere exterior contrasts with the elegant state rooms within.
