There are seven en-suite bedrooms, all of which have been refurbished. Doubles, twin, single and a family room are available. For those looking for something a little special, the four poster and the luxury king-size rooms are very popular.

All rooms are furnished to a high standard and all of them offer flat screen colour TV, free Wi-Fi access, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries, radio alarms and hair dryers. All rooms have central heating and double glazing, and are comfortable throughout the year.

Guests can relax in the comfortable lounge with a real fire. This is an ideal place to have a rest after a long walk, or plan your next day exploring this beautiful part of North Wales. There are books and maps to help you get the most from your stay in Snowdonia, and friendly advice is always available.

Breakfast is served in the dining room, with its lovely views across the valley to the wooded slopes of Mount Garmon. Breakfast is freshly prepared with a variety of options available which should suit all appetites.

Afon View has a private car park, bike storage and guests are welcome to sit out in the front garden. This bed and breakfast accommodation is an ideal base from which to explore Snowdonia and the rest of North Wales.

This area of Snowdonia is ideal for those who enjoy walking. There are some gentler walks in the Gwydir Forest which surrounds Betws-y-Coed, and more strenous walks and climbs in the higher peaks of Snowdonia, including Snowdon and the Carneddau. Mountain biking, fishing, canoeing, bird watching and horse riding is also well catered for in this area of Snowdonia, or you can take it easy and enjoy the beautiful lakes and mountains of Snowdonia, or the coastline and beaches of the Lleyn Peninsula and Anglesey. Betws-y-Coed has a wide range of places to eat in the evening including pubs, restaurants and cafés. The village also has a good selection of shops including craft/gift shops, and outdoor shops with well known names like Hawkshead, Cotswold Outdoor and Stewart Cunningham. Children welcome from age 8.

You will find Afon View on the A5 the 2nd House on the left past the Rock Bottom Shop If you are intending to arrive by train we will be happy to meet you at the station. For the more independent, if you walk up to the main road turn left and pass the HSBC Bank on the right, Afon View can be found just past the paper shop (News Plus) and the café on the right. The car park is at the rear, just take the 1st turning on the left (from the south). and keep turning left. We have a sign on the garage door 'Afon -View'. Walk through the gardens arch to the front door.

Please note that Afon View is an old Victorian house and thus has not been designed with wheelchair access in mind. - Approached off the main A5, in the village of Betws-y-Coed. In between the Rock Bottom shop and the paper shop. - Access to the front is via 4 large slate steps, with a handrail. - Ample private parking at the rear of the house with access from the car park through the gate. Seven steps with a handrail 2.5m level path to 2 steps with a handrail further level path for 2.5m, 5 steps with a handrail landing area on to a further 15 steps with a hand rail, pass through the gate to the front door. - Non-smoking throughout. - Assistance with luggage is available if required. - Orange Mobile phones coverage obtained from within the house, some other networks can be obtained outside the front door. - Public Bus service 200 yards from the entrance. - Train station 400 yards from the entrance. We can arrange for someone to meet you at the station if required. Access in the house - If parking permits the front of the house serves as a drop-off and unloading point. - Main entrance is through the porch with a wide doorway into the hall with 1 wide shallow slate step. - The ground floor is level throughout and comprises of guest lounge with a real fire, breakfast room, and hallway. The downstairs is fully carpeted. - Bedrooms 2, 3 & 4 are on the first floor, which is approached by a flight of stairs. The stairs has nineteen wide steps, a small landing and then a turn of 180 degrees to another 3 steps access the flat first floor landing. A banister runs all the way up the stairs on the left hand side. - Bedrooms 5, 6, 7, & 8 are on the second floor, which is approached by a further flight of 12 stairs a small landing and 3 stairs. - The stairs and bedrooms have fitted carpets. - All our bedrooms are en-suite, shower, wash basin and toilet. Room 8 has an en-suite with a bath with a shower, wash basin and toilet. The en-suite floors have a floor tile covering with the exception of Room 2, which has carpet. - Room 4 - 4 Poster bedroom has three steps with a handrail on the right, leading down to the bathroom from the bedroom. - Corridors and bedrooms are well lit. - Cordless kettles can be provided on request. - Waiter/waitress service is standard. - Menus can be provided in large print
