Bron-y-Graig is a luxurious 9-bedroom Victorian courtyard house, with tranquil river and hillside views, terraced gardens and woodlands to explore. We offer B&B or Dinner, B&B in the ideal base for exploring the whole of North Wales.

We can arrange our large rooms to accommodate families, and the house is the perfect venue for groups. We offer a relaxed atmosphere, room service and a small (seats 20) restaurant overlooking the Dee Valley.

Built in 1888 as the family home of the Sheriff of Denbigh, this fascinating courtyard house nestles in the wooded slopes of the Berwyns on the edge of Corwen between Betws-y-Coed, Llangollen, and Bala (see our panoramic view of the location).

Recently fully renovated Bron-y-Graig now offers hotel bed and breakfast, a licensed restaurant and a luxury holiday cottage, with special facilities for groups and business guests including wi-fi internet access.

The 19th century splendour of our William Morris décor is complemented by 21st century services and 100% attention to our guests' comfort. Many visitors return year after year to enjoy our old house's relaxing welcome, to sample exciting local outdoor activities, or to simply enjoy the natural beauty of North Wales.

Bron-y-Graig is a typical large Victorian house – room sizes are generous, and most doors are wide, but the stairs are steep, and there is no room for a lift. The house is at the top of a short but typically steep Welsh hill. If you have any questions about access or special requirements – do please contact us on 01490 413007. Bron-y-Graig is 5 minutes walk or 1 minutes drive from the centre of Corwen. Bron-y-Graig is reached by a steep tarmac drive from the A5. The drive is lit from dusk to approx 11.30 pm and motion-sensitive floodlights light the car-park and entrance. The car-park can accommodate approximately 12 cars. The main entrance doors are wide enough for wheelchair access. There is a shallow step up into the outer hall. The step from the outer hall to the inner hall has a permanent ramp in place. There is a toilet & washbasin on the ground floor. All bedrooms are on the first or second floors and are accessed by stairs only The minimum number of stairs to climb to a first floor bedroom is 14. The staircase is 2 ft 6 in wide or 750 mm wide. Ground floor and bedroom doors allow wheelchair access. Some bedrooms are particularly large. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms; some bathroom doors are narrow. Staff are available to help with carrying bags, showing guests where facilities are, reading the menu etc. Large print guest information and menus can be provided by prior arrangement – please ask. The Stables has two first-floor ensuite bedrooms. From the entrance hall there is one step up to the kitchen, and one step down to the sitting room. Access to the upper and lower gardens is by steps – the gardens are terraced.
