Access Statement for Rocksdrift House - Three bedroom ground floor apartment § Approached from the road running across the seafront. Turn left into car park just before the village post office, keep bearing left and you will arrive onto a level tarmac parking area some 10 feet from the front door of the apartment (No. 1). § A very gentle paved pathway leads to the front door and also to front of the apartment where there is a small patio area which enjoys superb views over the bay. § Level lawned area with stone boundary wall. § Entrance into tiled hallway through wide ( mm) wooden door with a threshold mm high and mm wide. § All internal doors, with the exception of one twin bedded room (not suitable for wheelchair) are through wide wooden doors ( mm). § Spacious lounge with ample natural lighting. Remote control TV with full sky package and teletext, video recorder also with remote control. § Double doors leading to dining area and kitchen. § Dining area has large bay window again providing ample natural light and views of the sea. § Kitchen has standard height work surfaces, dish washer, a low level gas oven with standard height four ring top and an eye level grill. Microwave oven at work top height and a fridge freezer. Some wall cupboards above worktop. § One double bedroom with turning space for wheel chair. § One twin bedded room with turning space for wheel chair. § All beds have reading lights and a pull chord on/off switch over the bed. § Bathroom with w.c. and shower over bath and transfer space. All taps have lever controls. Bath boards provided. § A separate room with w.c. and wash hand basin – not suitable for wheelchair user. § Separate wheel in shower room with transfer space. § Service dogs welcome. § From main entrance a tarmac drive – pedestrian use only (gentle sloop approx 1 in ) leads to seafront road 25 metres away. § Opposite this pede strian only access on the other side of the road is a concrete ramp leading onto the beach. § Village shop and post office 50 metres along the road. § Public Transport opposite the shop to nearest town, Haverfordwest, 7 miles. § Mobile telephone networks available are Vodaphone and Orange.
