Lodge staff will be pleased to answer any questions and offer any assistance that we can to our visitors. Below is a general description of our accommodation: Approach and arrival: Approach is clearly signposted within the Elan Village. Level parking is available within our tarmac yard. Further parking is available in the driveway immediately outside our gates. Level front door access, (no steps or ramps) 1400mm wide. Baggage porterage available on request. No formal reception area guests greeted personally by Lodge staff. Public areas, ground floor: Dining room, lounge, guests kitchen, corridor are all level with no steps and minimum door width of 800mm. Corridors are well lit with good colour contrast between floor and walls. Narrowest space 1m wide. There are no obstructions or trip hazards. Conference rooms: Access is via staircase 900mm wide with 19 steps and 3 half landings. Well lit with good colour contrast between floor and walls. Minimum door width of 700mm. Bedrooms: One accessible bedroom with ample space for wheelchair users, en-suite shower room with sliding door and wheel in shower with transfer space. Door width 850mm. 10 other bedrooms on ground floor with no steps or ramps, minimum door width of 700mm limited space for wheelchairs. 13 bedrooms on first floor. All bedrooms en-suite. Bedroom numbers are clearly marked with large raised numbers. We do not have telephones in the bedrooms General: Service dogs are very welcome. All areas are well lit with good colour contrast to floor, walls and doorways. There are no permanent trip hazards. Additional portable lighting available on request. There is minimal mobile phone network coverage outside building, no coverage inside. A payphone is provided for guests use, door width 700mm. Public transport is very limited; a local taxi company operates an accessible vehicle for railway station pickups etc. Rhayader Community Support operates an accessible minibus which could be booked for non commercial group outi ngs.
