Details
Self catering Clare Cottage is a charming comfortable old cottage, situated just below the old Norman church of St Mary's. It was built around 1820 and is very close to Chepstow town centre and Chepstow Castle. It is a few minutes walk to the Wye River and pubs and restaurants. At the back of the cottage, you will find a different world, with its quiet self contained secluded courtyard garden: full of pots and with unique murals. The cottage has been upgraded recently and has all the modern facilities. At the side of the cottage is a wayleaf (right of way) which consists of a passageway leading to a house which is privately owned.

Notes
This is an old 1820s cottage - it would not suit someone who could not cope with a steep set of stairs, or those who are dependent on a wheelchair as the ground floor has a step down which leads to the kitchen and bathroom. I do not beleive all doorways are wide enough to allow wheelchair access. Outside the old flags which line the main path are uneven and can be slippery when wet.
