ACCESS STATEMENT Car Parking The hotel has no guest car parking available. There is a pay and display car park sited across the road in front of the hotel with 3 steps downwards at the exit of the car park onto the road. The exit is 5 yards approx from the main reception entrance. Parking is £2.50 per 24 hrs per car. The road in front of the hotel is a private access road exclusively for use by emergency services and National Trust employees therefore no drop off or lay by parking is permitted at any time. Public Transport There is a local bus service in operation 7 days a week running to and from Swansea Central Bus station and stopping off at various locations across Gower. The nearest bus terminal is situated 100 yards from the reception main entrance. Taxis are readily available from Swansea central but must be booked in advance from Gower locations. Hotel Access Reception opens from 08:30 – 23:30 seven days per week Bar Helvetia and the Bay Lounge are open from 11:30 – 23:30 seven days per week (from 10:30 in the summer time) There is ramped access for wheelchairs on the entrance to reception: Bar Helvetia; to the beer garden (located at the rear) through the bar; and to the terrace through the function room. All doors, entrance ways & corridors are of necessary width to accommodate wheelchairs, push chairs and Zimmer frames. Emergency exits These are located in: • Reception foyer • Helvetia Bar • Function room • Ocean Wing corridor Public area facilities There is a limited seated waiting area available in the main hotel foyer. The customer must negotiate 3 steps in the corridor between Bay Lounge and the Reception foyer. The Customer must negotiate 3 steps in the Ocean Wing corridor between Rm 3 and Rm 4 & 5. Reception counter is slightly restrictive for wheel chair bound guests or guests with a height impediment however assistance is readily available. When necessary room service can be provided following discussion prior to booking No pets or animals are permitted within the premises with the exception of Guidance dogs. 6 ground floor rooms are available with 2 suitable for guests that have limited disability. At present the hotel does not have rooms with specialized disabled fittings. Lounge area A lounge area with comfortable seating is available for use by the guests complete with wide screen television. Restaurant We serve a varied and extensive menu ranging from local seafood to welsh meats and specialize in the utility of local produce. Special dietary requirements can be catered for on request and in advance.
