Details

Park Guest House has been run by the Herring family for nearly 20 years.

We pride ourselves on making sure you have a comfortable stay and a great breakfast.

The house was originally a farmhouse dating back some 300 years and once owned all the land around it. Nowadays, Abergavenny has thrived and we are practically in the centre of town! The main shopping area, with great pubs and restaurants is a mere ten minutes walk away.

There are 7 letting rooms, all of which are equipped with hot drink facitilities, colour televisions and washbasins. About half the rooms also have private bathrooms.

ROAD: The town benefits from an excellent transport infrastructure with major road links to the M4 which puts it some 2.5 - 3 hours from London.

A40 Monmouth/Raglan/Newport,
A465 Heads of the Valleys (Brynmawr/Ebbw Vale)
A4042 Pontypool/Newport
From the roundabout (Hardwick) follow the signs for the town centre (A40 - Monmouth Road). Continue past the bus station/tourist information centre (Renault Garage on your left) all the way into the town. There is a sharp right turn at the Great George pub, take this and continue straight on until you reach the junction with the Esso Garage on your right and The Bailey pub ahead on your left (with Bailey Park behind). Continue straight on following the signs for Hereford (and Skenfrith). After a couple of hundred yards, Park Guest House is the large white house on your left. Take the drive on the right of the house and you will find ample parking to the rear.

A40 Brecon/Crickhowell
Follow the road all the way into town (past Nevill Hall Hospital on your right). You will eventually end up in the town centre - the road winds around and makes you avoid the busiest shopping streets. Past Tesco on your right, and further on Wilkinson's (also on your right), you will arrive a a "T" junction with traffic lights. There is an Esso garage opposite you and a pub on your left called The Bailey. You can also see Bailey Park on your left behind the pub. Turn left here (towards Hereford and Skenfrith). After a couple of hundred yards, Park Guest House is the large white house on your left. Take the drive on the right of the house and you will find ample parking to the rear.

A465 Hereford
After passing through Pandy on the A465, take the first exit to the right sign-posted Abergavenny Town Centre and Mardy. Follow this road (Hereford Road) all the way through Mardy, continue down the hill and before reaching the town centre, you will Park Guest House on your right. Take the drive on the right of the house and you will find ample parking to the rear.
