Access Statement Accessibility The Ty Glyn Hotel and Conference Centre welcomes people with disabilities and has developed the Access Statement to address some of the more common issues that disabled people face. We have car parking for up to 80 cars all on one level, if you require parking close to one of the entrances please contact the hotel before your planned arrival and we will reserve a place next to the most suitable entrance for your needs. Reception Entrance • There is one shallow step to the main reception door • One lever handle door at entrance • Alternative access via the Aeron Suite with ramp • Reception is manned between 8am and 10pm Monday to Saturday and from 8am to 4pm on Sunday • No lowered section to Reception desk for wheelchair access • Clipboard available as alternative • No induction loop system at present • Seating available at reception • Fridge available for guests who require this facility for medication etc Bedrooms • There are 10 bedrooms all located on the first floor • There is no lift available to access these rooms • All rooms have single leaf opening doors • Doors have lever action handles • Locks are standard key operated • Bedrooms are all carpeted • Bathrooms are fitted with non slip vinyl floor covering • Showers are all thermostatically controlled • All showerheads are adjustable • All rooms have a variety of electrical sockets located at various heights • All rooms have bedside lamps • All rooms are fitted with smoke detectors • Audible fire alarms are located in all adjacent corridors • If you require special evacuation arrangements please contact reception Bar/Restaurant • Range of seating available including seats with arms • Lighting adjustable as required • Menus available in large print or staff to assist • Special dietary requirements catered for with advance warning • Waiter/waitress service in bar and restaurant • No induction loop system is currently fitted • Ramp access directly into rear of restaurant Aeron Suite • Ramp access to lever action double doors • Lighting adjustable as required • Disabled toilet will be available next to Aeron Suite • Full access to reception area Teifi Suite • Ramp access to lever action single door • Special parking facilities • All on one level • Close to toilets Ystwyth Suite and Gwili Syndicate Rooms • Access via single shallow step • One single lever action door • Toilet facilities General • Staff available to assist wherever possible if and when required – please ask • Mobile phones have reasonable reception in most areas • Guide Dogs are Welcome • Audible alarms are located in all areas of the hotel, please advise reception for special requirements We at Ty Glyn are constantly striving to improve and update our facilities for all our guests and in the future we will be installing hearing loops in the conference areas as well as the upgrading of all disabled toilet facilities.
