Henllys Lodge is a detached house two miles from Llandovery, a market town with all amenities. It is a former lodge house to a farm estate and has been rebuilt and furnished to a high standard. It has four bedrooms: three double rooms, two of which have en-suite wet rooms, and a 4th room with full-sized single bunk beds. There is a separate bathroom for the two bedrooms with bath and overhead shower.

The ground floor is open plan. There is a matted lobby entrance where coats and boots can be left. The large kitchen/dining room has all modern energy efficient appliances, such as Rangemaster cooker with two ovens, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, and all the cooking equipment and utensils you will need. There is a washing machine and condenser dryer in an annexe to the house. The living room has in its centre a double-sided wood-burning stove which is cosy and comfortable in the colder months. There is a television which has Freeview channels and access to Netflix, BBC iPlayer etc, Bluetooth speakers, table football, a large selection of games and puzzles, books including guides of the area and daylight lamps for reading. There is good Wi-Fi internet access in the property. There is also a WC on the ground floor.

The kitchen opens out onto a slate patio area with garden furniture and barbecue. There are flower beds planted with native plants flowering at different times of the year and a lawn leading down to a pond, teeming with wildlife including fish, frogs, newts, water lilies, etc. Fill up the bird feeder to watch all sorts of birds, including nuthatches, woodpeckers, finches, tits, etc. Red kites and buzzards soar overhead.

There is parking for 3+ cars and a locked shed to accommodate bicycles. We have a newly installed electric charge point for electric cars.

On arrival there is a meet and greet service and awaiting you will be a Welcome basket of organic and/or local foods.

Access to the property is via steps or stoned pathway. There is a downstairs WC. There are two steps from the front door into the property and two steps also from the back door to the patio area. The downstairs rooms are open-plan and it is easy to manoeuvre around furniture and furnishings for those with mobility difficulties or visual impairment. There is a level path around the property. The garden has a lawn which slopes gently downwards. There is a pond at the bottom of the garden, where the edges are not delineated, so care would need to be taken by those with limited mobility or visual impairment. People with restricted mobility, who can manage stairs, will find all rooms accessible. Wheelchair users will find the ground floor accessible, but not the first floor. There should be no difficulties for people with hearing impairment.
