Self-catering with 1 unit

Detached and on its own this cottage is a lovely, romantic, away-from-it-all location to re-charge those tired batteries.Recently renovated, it has a spacious living room with a galleried mezzenine bedroom above. Situated at the head of Cwm Teigl valley, 2ml from Llan Ffestiniog, on the lower slopes of Manod mountain, access is along a 0.5ml mountain trackway with 3 gates.
Walks literally from the doorstop with an ancient footpath (now rarely used) leading from Cae Clyd to Penmachno passing the front door though this area of 'Wild Wales'. Cosily prepared in an open plan design with a large wood burning stove in the inglenook and night storage heaters for warmth. You will never feel closer to nature then you will here, it will stay in your soul forever. You will feel a million miles away from everything, being surrounded by unspoilt countryside with distant coastal views, but still only a mile and a half from the village community inn and shop at Llan Ffestiniog. Blaenau Ffestiniog (5ml) has the Ffestiniog Railway station, Zip World and Bounce Below, small super market and shops. The wonderful Black Rock Sands (12ml) is the closest sandy beach where you can drive straight onto the 3mls of sands and dunes or discover the sandy coves at Borth y Gest. If you can tempt yourself off the mountain then visit Harlech Castle (14ml), Swallow Falls and Betws y Coed (15ml) in the Conwy valley, Coed y Brenin mountian bike centre (16ml) and Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon (30ml).
