About

Take a break from the stresses of modern life and unwind in our peaceful Bunkhouse retreat.

Our 19 bed self-catered Bunkhouse is perfectly positioned for large family gatherings, big groups of friends, and anyone looking for a holiday that’s a little different.

The Facilities

The Bunkhouse is at the Amelia Trust Farm, a charity based near Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan. You’ll be a few steps away from a gorgeous woodland, complete with a BBQ, cob oven and picnic benches for you to eat al-fresco. You’ll be surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature, and have plenty of open space to switch off and relax.

With a large fully equipped kitchen, spacious sitting area, and a range of bedrooms and bathroom facilities, you’ll have everything you need to make your stay comfortable.

The Farm Kitchen, a café onsite, is also available for you to buy breakfast and lunch.

The Location

Set in the heart of the Welsh countryside, but with easy access to some of the best visitor attractions in South Wales, if you’re looking for activities to do during your stay, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

Whether you want to eat fish and chips on the beach, stroll around Cardiff castle, visit the home of Gavin and Stacey, or pull on your boots and take in the stunning scenery of the Welsh coastal path, there are plenty of opportunities to explore the local area.

Our bunkhouse is a stone’s throw from Barry, close to the vibrant capital city of Cardiff, and just a short drive away from beautiful beaches in the Vale as well as the picturesque market town of Cowbridge.
