With the tower and walls of historic Brecon Castle located in its enclosed gardens, Brecon Castle Hotel is a heritage hotel of great charm and character. It first opened as a coaching inn in the late seventeenth century, becoming the first modern hotel of its kind in Wales in 1809. This Georgian hotel enjoys the best of both worlds being located in private grounds on a prominent hill in the centre of town but with beautiful views over the river Usk and up to Pen-y-Fan and The Brecon Beacon mountains. Privately owned, it combines a friendly atmosphere with efficient service. There is ample off-road car and coach parking. All bedrooms are en-suite and equipped with TV, internet, tea/coffee making facilities, radio and direct dial telephone. The Brecon hotel offers three types of bedroom, the best being the large south facing rooms with stunning views towards the Brecon Beacons mountains. Free WiFi in all public areas and bedrooms. Two miles from Cradoc golf course. Extensive conference and wedding facilities for up to 200 guests. Disabled access and disabled bedrooms.
The bar and residents lounge all of which face southwards towards the Beacons are ideal for relaxing in at the end of the day.
