Details
As Dolgellau's most luxurious boutique guesthouse Ffynnon is renowned as 'the place to stay' in southern Snowdonia.
Formerly a Victorian rectory and the town's first cottage hospital, this grand building has been stylishly renovated to offer opulent, spacious accommodation with 21st century facilities. With a sumptuous guest lounge, contemporary restaurant, library and peaceful gardens it is always possible to find a quiet corner in which to enjoy the magnificent views, relax and unwind.
Each of the rooms has been individually designed to reflect the mood of the room and create a relaxing haven. Egyptian cotton bed linen and feather beds ensure a peaceful sleep, whilst flat screen digital TV's, DVD players and WIFI broadband access offer the best in-room entertainment. En-suite bathrooms are decadent and designed to help you unwind.
Although perfect for a romantic break or a small group get-together, Ffynnon is also ideal for families looking for something different. Homely comforts such as a well-stocked butler's pantry with small eating area, outdoor playground and a large selection of indoor pastimes take care of the needs of smaller visitors whilst parents relax in the hot-tub or over dinner at a local restaurant.
For businesses we offer space to think, from working lunches to private business hire. Everything needed to support a business meeting is available, including WI-FI, fax and presentation equipment which together with our special business rates makes us the ideal off-site venue.
Small specialist interest groups visiting the area to nature watch, cycle, walk or learn more about the areas rich heritage & culture are welcome. Tailored programmes can be arranged to suit requirements.
We are a stone's throw away from the centre of Dolgellau, a beautiful small market town situated at the foot of Cader Idris, one of the most majestic peaks in Wales. It is an excellent base for cycling, walking, watersports and climbing or for exploring the rest of Snowdonia. The world class Mountain Biking Centre of Coed y Brenin is only a few minutes away as is the Mawddach Estuary, an area of immense beauty. Dolgellau is also an important cultural centre, being the birthplace of the Quaker's in Wales and host to Ty Siamas, Wales' national centre for Welsh music.
