Sychpant Barn Holiday Cottage, near Newport in Pembrokeshire. Boasting sea and mountain views, this stunning barn conversion is nestled in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.

This beautiful detached stone barn conversion has been newly renovated to create an idyllic 5-star holiday retreat. Sychpant Barn holiday cottage lies on a peaceful, non-working farm just 2 miles outside of Newport, Pembrokeshire - an attractive and bustling coastal town with a long, beautiful beach. Tastefully decorated, furnished and equipped to the highest of standards with quality fixtures and fittings throughout, the property retains original charm and character with exposed stone walls, wooden beams and floors and wood burning stove - all adding to its appeal as a perfect holiday getaway.

The fabulous blue kitchen is fully equipped and provides everything you will need during your stay. Sofas invite you to lounge in front of a blazing log burner in the open plan living area. Fall captive to the view of countryside and sparkling sea, framed so perfectly by the full length glass windows and door - leading out to the attractively planted garden with patio area and lawn - a perfect setting to light a barbecue on a summer’s evening and take full advantage of the impressive view dominated by Carn Ingli (Mount of Angels) and the sea, lying tantalisingly close only two miles away. All three well-proportioned bedrooms have been beautifully decorated and each boasts a wall mounted TV and there is wi-fi throughout. Sychpant Barn Holiday Cottage is idyllically and conveniently located for touring and exploring the beautiful countryside and coasts of Pembrokeshire; after a day of exploration, this luxury holiday property provides peace and tranquillity within its stone walls.

There is plenty to explore here, with fantastic walks right from the front door step. Public footpath markers take walkers along various trails. The 186 miles of the Pembrokeshire Coast national trail is waiting to be explored. Starting in Amroth and ending in St Dogmaels, the coastal path was named the third best walk in the World. It is a rare opportunity to see the Welsh coast in all its brilliance. The path includes all kinds of different landscapes, from its castellated cliffs to its sheltered bays, open beaches and estuaries. The nearby Preseli Hills, home to the enormous blue stones used in the construction of Stonehenge, also beckon to be explored. Cyclists, fishermen and golfers are also well catered for in the local vicinity and shoppers, art lovers and food lovers won't be disappointed either.

The two nearby Pembrokeshire villages of Felindre Farchog and Nevern both have excellent pubs with restaurants. Nevern is world famous for its ancient castle and the ‘bleeding yew' and Celtic cross in the churchyard. The town centre of Newport is only 2 miles away - where you will find galleries, antique shops, post office, bank, pharmacy, coffee shops, water-sports and more. Newport is home to a range of dining experiences from traditional Thai curries in The Royal Oak to fine-dining on locally sourced produce in Llys Meddyg. It boasts both a Norman castle and church which stand proudly above its ancient streets and pathways which lead directly to the River Nevern Estuary which teems with wildlife.

Nearby attractions include the Pentre Ifan burial Chamber – the most famous of all of Wales’ neloithic structures, has stood here for more than 4000 years. An enjoyable day out can be had at the Dyfed Shire Horse Farm and Castell Henllys, a reconstructed Iron Age hill fort, complete with roundhouses, built in exactly the same place as the Iron Age buildings as identified by archaeological excavations. Re-enactments throughout the summer bring the settlement to life. The beaches of Newport Sands, Parrog, Cwm Yr Eglwys, Pwll Gwaelod and Ceibwr (and many more!) are all a short distance away – each one has its own special charm and whether you are looking for safe bathing, to escape the hustle and bustle, watch marine life or to experience a more adrenaline-fuelled activity – Pembrokeshire has a beach to suit you.
