Llyn Brenig Visitor Centre is the starting point for a visit to Llyn Brenig - whether you intend to walk or cycle one of the waymarked trails, go fishing, or picnic on the lakeside.
INFORMATION POINT & SHOP
Pick up walk routes and information about the flora and fauna - this is the best place to find out what there is to do during your visit. We stock art made by local crafts people, Welsh and English books for adults and children, unique jewellery, home furnishings, crockery, stunning prints by local photographers and exclusive Llyn Brenig Osprey Project merchandise.
THE BRENIG OSPREY EXHIBITION - has been developed in partnership with The North Wales Wildlife Trust. Situated in the Visitor Centre, spread your wings and explore the exhibition, learn about the project history and follow our birds throughout the seasons.
LAKESIDE CAFÉ
Set in an elevated position with stunning views of the lake and across the Denbigh Moors. Light, airy space is surrounded by windows so you will get a great view wherever you choose to sit. There is a balcony for those who wish to dine al fresco. Dogs are welcome on the balcony. Enjoy a warming drink, homemade cake or hot meal from the seasonal menu. Food is freshly prepared with vegetarian and gluten free options. 5* Food Hygiene Rating
ROOM HIRE at the Visitor Centre
The conference room seats up to 40 people, and is a great location for a training event or meeting. A projector can also be made available, and a Wi-Fi signal allows you to log on to the internet.
The Forest Lodge is a smaller space ideal for meetings of up to six people, or for small group activities. Catering can also be provided to the Forest Lodge.
FISHING AT LLYN BRENIG
Llyn Brenig plays host to the World Fly Fishing Championships and regularly hosts Fly Fishing International challenges. It has an international reputation for the quality of the fishing and it is one of the few remaining fisheries preserved exclusively for fly-fishing. This fantastic fishing venue is open to all who want to have a go (purchase your licence at the Visitor Centre or at the machine)!
At our on site Fishing Shop we stock everything you need to get you out on the water to hopefully catch the big one. It’s the best place to buy Fishing Permits and Fishing Tackle.
WALKING AT LLYN BRENIG
Llyn Brenig is one of the most popular places to go walking in Conwy, north Wales. There are many walking routes to choose from, all with spectacular views.
Walking maps and suggested routes for all of our Walking Trails can be picked up from the visitor centre, which provides all the information and facilities that you will need to enjoy your day out.
CYCLING AT LLYN BRENIG
Llyn Brenig has a range of cycle routes of varying difficulty – all taking full advantage of the perfect conditions and landscapes for cycling. Whatever your age or cycling ability, Llyn Brenig is a fun, healthy way to explore some of the 2500 acres that surround the lake. There is a network of waymarked trails available for you to cycle along, or you can choose your own route if you prefer.

LLYN BRENIG SAILING CLUB
Are a friendly bunch who welcome new members of all ages and abilities. Whether you own a cruiser, a dinghy or want to use a club boat to learn how to sail why not become a member today? You can join the Club as a family, group or individual, with junior membership with a guardian available too, but you must be a member to sail on Llyn Brenig lake.
KAYAKING & CANOES
Hire a Kayak or Canoe and explore the lake peacefully. Without the hum of a boat engine you will hear the sounds of nature as you paddle. You don’t have to be a Sailing Club Member.
WATER ZORBS
Great fun for the young and young at heart. A giant, inflatable human hamster ball floating on the water, it’s harder and even more fun than it looks! You don’t have to be a Sailing Club Member to try Zorbing.
ADEVENTURE PLAYGROUND
The large, dedicated play area has swings, slides, climbing frames, rockers and the ever-popular mini zip wire. A safe area for those with boundless energy to blow off steam with freedom to run around and enjoy the fresh air.
Please note: dogs not allowed within the play area.

Llyn Brenig is open all year, 8am to sunset. The Visitor Centre and Café are open every day (check Christmas and New Year period).

Free entry
Parking: Pay and display parking is available and costs just £2.50 for a full day. This charge goes towards the maintenance of the site and allows us to keep it open for visitors. Fishing permits to be purchased.
