* Includes a voluntary 10% donation which will be put towards the conservation and animal welfare work of the National Zoological Society of Wales. Without your generosity we would not be able to carry out this vital work. If you are a UK taxpayer please complete a Gift Aid Declaration which will allow the National Zoological Society of Wales to claim an extra 25% on your total payment. You will be asked to pay the Gift Aid admission unless you request to pay the standard admission.

*** Disabled – A discounted rate is available for the registered disabled, due to the challenging terrain. Please note that verification of disability status will be required e.g. DLA/PIP Letter, DWP Book, Blue/Orange badge or letter from GP.

**** Carers – If a visitor requests the need for a carer, as long as the above criteria has been met, a discounted carer ticket can be purchased alongside a disabled persons/wheelchair users ticket. Only 1 carer ticket may be purchased per disabled persons/wheelchair users ticket.




Just 3 minutes drive from the A55 expressway - exit at Junction 20 at Rhos-on-Sea interchange - the zoo is signposted from here. From Bangor 20 mins, Caernarfon 30mins, Wrexham & Chester 50mins, Liverpool 60mins and Manchester 70mins.

FREE bus to zoo - From Easter to mid September the zoo's free minibus service will operate a continuous daily service from Colwyn Bay Railway Station. The first trip from the station will start at 10:00am and will then run on a continuous loop throughout the day. You should not have to wait longer than 20 minutes for the minibus to arrive for collection. The last trip down from the Zoo will be just before 4:45pm. For more details please see:
