Heritage Centre:Newborough Heritage Trust - Llys Rhosyr

Heritage Centre

Llys Rhosyr is a significant site not least because it is the only Royal Court of the Princes of Gwynedd of which the ground plan remains virually intact. Those elsewhere were despoiled at the conquest, or destroyed in the last century.

Travel towards the south west corner of Anglesey, along the A4080 beyond Plas Newydd until you reach the crossroads of Newborough village. The archaeological site of Llys Rhosyr is situated just off the road to Llanddwyn island, near to the parish church.
