This picturesque 18-hole golf course is famous for its mature oak trees and was also a home club to one of Britain's most famous golfers Mr Dai Rees, who was former Ryder Cup Captain. Dai Rees's father was the club professional from 1938 to 1953 and his mother was the stewardess of the club. Aberdare Golf Club was the place were Dai Rees received his first golf lesson, the thirteenth was one of his favourite holes.
Aberdare Golf Course can be testing for some golfers and it is certainly a very interesting and challenging course to play so if you have the chance to play this course you will find it's a surprisingly beautiful course.
Today the club at Abernant acts as host to a variety of golfing societies and visitors who come to play the course. Aberdare golf club is always trying to attract more people to play on the course and there are a varity of different scenic views available for the golfers to admire.
