  • Green Coast Award

Beach, free entry

West Angle Bay is a great location for swimming, kayaking, fishing, boating and wildlife watching. The coast here has interesting rock formations and there are plenty of rock pools to explore on either side of the beach. From the bay there are good views across to St Ann's Head and of the shipping passing up and down the waterway. There is good access down to the beach via a slipway and a pleasant grass walk north towards the Haven viewpoint. The beach is on the Pembrokeshire Coastal path national trail and is within the Pembrokeshire Marine Coastal Special Area of Conservation, confirming the high conservation status of the area. The Angle peninsula has long been recognised as an important defensive site and this part of the coastline is rich in military heritage.

Green Coast award beach, toilets, shop and pub in the nearby village of Angle; dogs are allowed.
