Aberdovey/Aberdyfi railway station is on the Cambrian Coast Line from Machynlleth to Pwllheli and is located just to the west of the village off the A493 which runs through Aberdyfi. The postcode is LL35 0NR.

The station is unstaffed; buy tickets on the train.

Car parking no charge for passengers - 25 spaces; 5 cycle spaces.

Approaching from the east on the A493, the station will be on your left just after you leave the village. Arriving on the train, turn right when you reach the main road for the village centre. See below for Penhelig which is a halt at the east end of Aberdyfi.

Penhelig is a request stop just before Aberdyfi station when travelling from Machynlleth - tell the guard/indicate to the driver for the train to stop. Approaching Aberdyfi on the A493 from Machynlleth, it will be on your left just as you enter the village with the Penhelig Arms Hotel opposite; Terrace Rd, the postcode is LL35 0LU. Live Departure screens. There is a council car park opposite; the platform is reached by two flights of steps (27 in total).
