Cardiff Central is an interchange between the rest of South and West Wales and the South Wales Valley Lines. Services operate to West Wales (Swansea/Carmarthen and onto Tenby/Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven and Fishguard Harbour), north to Abergavenny, Shrewsbury, Crewe, Manchester, Llandudno Junction and Holyhead, east to Bristol and London plus other services to Bath, Taunton, Southampton, Portsmouth, Gloucester, Birmingham, Nottingham and Manchester.
