Tyn-yr-Onnen Farm

About

Welcome to Tyn-yr-Onnen Farm, Caravan and Campsite

Set on a traditional working Welsh hill farm, this family run Caravan and Campsite lies on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park nestled in between the Moel Eilio and Mynydd Mawr (Elephant) Mountains in North Wales.

This 180 acre sheep farm has been in the Griffith family for over 300 years. There are many animals on the farm including Shetland ponies, donkeys, lamas, pigs, chickens, ducks and turkeys. If you visit us in the spring, you can see some of our new born lambs.

Tyn-yr-Onnen is the perfect spot for those who want to experience the outdoors, go off of the beaten track and enjoy breath taking scenery.

The campsite offers sheltered pitches, with hook-ups if needed, recently refurbished toilet blocks with free hot showers, baby changing facilities, disabled shower rooms and a utility room.

There is a play area for children and a television room with table tennis and a pool table. There is plenty of space for BBQs; we even allow camp fires in one of our camping fields; after all we think that camp fires are an essential part of camping. If you are interested in Wild Camping then drop us a line.

Tyn-yr-Onnen also has self-catered accommodation, with 3 lodges and a modern static caravan for hire, so you can enjoy this quiet picturesque location with some added luxury.

From the farm there are 100’s of acres of heath land on your doorstep to explore, with many walks for beginners or the most adventurous can walk to the summit of Snowdon from the Farm, we will be happy to recommend some of our favourites.

It’s not all about mountains and walking, there are castles to explore in Caernafon, Bangor, Beaumaris and Harlech, beautiful beaches of the Llyn Peninsular and Anglesey. Llanberis at the foot of Snowdon, has the famous train to the summit, Electric Mountain, LLanberis Slate museum, Lakes, Rope Adventures, Diving, and outdoor adventures from kayaking to coast steering.

There is truly something for everyone.

Please note this is a working farm and Children must be supervised at all times.
