About

Translated as 'the highest ridge', Cefn Uchaf is a family run Guesthouse set in beautiful open countryside overlooking the splendour of Snowdonia's Cwm Pennant Valley.
Cefn Uchaf is situated in a perfect position to explore the Llyn Peninsula, an area of remote and natural beauty with hidden coves and miles of sandy beaches.

Away from the coast the rugged splendour of the Snowdonia National Park awaits you, and Snowdon itself is only a short drive away. If you would like to see the wonderful panoramic view from the summit of Wales' highest peak, choose from a variety of walks or for a less energetic trip to the top, take a ride on the Snowdon Mountain Railway.

Bed and Breakfast

Our large modernised farmhouse offers comfort in a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Of the 8 well-appointed twin, double and family rooms, 7 have en-suite bath or shower rooms, and 1 has a private bathroom.

Colour TV,Tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryers and radio alarm clocks are provided in all rooms.

We have a large comfortable residents lounge with open fire and a selection of games and books for all ages to enjoy. Ideal for relaxing after a day exploring this beautiful area.

Start your day with a hearty breakfast, all served at your own table. Our breakfast menu includes a selection of fruit juices, cereals, fresh fruits and yoghurts.

Our full cooked breakfast includes Welsh bacon, sausage and free range eggs from local suppliers.

Home cooked 3 course evening meals are available at £15 per person.

We are not licenced, but feel free to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal.

Soft drinks are available.

Children are always welcome, and travel cots and high chairs are available free of charge.

Groups of walkers and cyclists are most welcome. We have facilities to dry wet boots and coats overnight, so you can have a dry start to every day. Ironing facilities are available.

All car parking is private and off road, and we can park motorcycles and cycles under cover overnight.

The guest House has been awarded both the AA and Wales Tourist Board 3 Star grading

Cottage

Our self-catering cottage sleeps 4 adults plus 2 children in 2 double bedded rooms, one of which has an additional set of bunk beds. The cottage is available all year round. Prices range from £175 to £420 per week depending on the time of year. Electricity is charged by meter reading at the end of your stay. The lounge has TV with freeview channels, DVD, Video and CD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooker, fridge, washer and microwave. All beds are made ready for your arrival, and towels and tea towels are provided.

The cottage is available for Christmas and New Year bookings. Please phone or e-mail for details.
