Tŷ log has great views from the large glass front windows, it is secluded, private and accessible. It's great for wildlife lovers, we have had many visits from ducks, geese, swifts and even an otter!! For those who just want peace and tranquility it is the perfect retreat with all the modern comforts. The log house has been built and furnished to a very high standard and is just a beautiful place to escape to.

Accommodation Comprises:

Except for the balcony area, accommodation at Ty Log is all on one level and has been designed in a way to make it accessible for wheelchair users as well as comfortable for non-disabled guests. The cottage has central heating, a wood burner and triple-glazed windows to ensure it is warm and comfortable all year round. The owners live 100 metres away if you want any local information or advice on how to make the most of your holiday.

Downstairs:

Living room which is open plan, with a vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. A frontal wall of glazing allows in lots of natural light and provides lovely views of the landscaped ponds and views beyond, while upholstered couches and an armchair provide ample seating for guests to sit and relax.
Kitchen/diner is communal in the living area which is an open plan space with a dining table that seats up to 5 people. As well as an electric oven, induction hob and microwave, it includes a fridge, dishwasher and washing machine.
Master bedroom on the ground floor level. Has a king-sized bed, bedside tables, wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is also space for a cot.
Second bedroom also on the ground level is a twin with two single beds. This room also has accessibility for wheelchair users.
Anti-slip wetroom which is both accessible and stylish. In addition to a shower area, it also has a WC and handbasin.
Second bathroom with a walk-in shower, WC and handbasin.

Upstairs:

Balcony accessed via a short flight of stairs from the living room, this area has a fold out sofa bed for an additional guest if required, 2 lounger chairs acts an additional living area with great south facing views. An additional TV is also in this area. This area can also be used as a quiet space for reading or listening to music or a great space for the kids.
Outside: Six acres of grounds, including a landscaped sensory garden, offer ample room for children to play and adults to relax. The log house is south facing with decking and wrap around steps overlooking ponds and countryside beyond. There is parking for two cars next to the log house, and a wheelchair friendly path leads from the parking area to the door. The owners provide secure storage for bikes, fishing rods and other sports equipment.
Additional Information: All utilities, linen and towels are provided, with guests required to bring own beach towels and cot sheets if they are needed. A discount is offered for guests booking two consecutive weeks. Short breaks are possible outside of peak season, depending on availability. Smoking and pets are not permitted. The ponds are NOT fenced off so would not be suitable for children under eight years of age.

Road Directions

When you come out of Carmarthen on the A40 (past B&Q) you take the first turn left sign posted Llansteffan, follow this road up to the next junction and turn right sign posted Llansteffan B4312. Keep going on this road for about 4 miles, you will go through Llangain, keep going on this road for about 0.4 mile and take the first turning right sign posted Llangynog, there is a bungalow on the corner. At this turning set your tripometer to zero, travel along this lane for exactly 0.8 mile, you will go down a hill, over a bridge and up a hill the other side (ignore your Satnav at this point). At the brow of the hill at 0.8 mile, you will see a lane on the left, 'Creigiau Bach' sign post is in the hedge, continue along this lane for 100 metres and we are the first property on the right.
